“Saranghae” means “I love you” in Korean.
During pregnancy, I hated my skin. It seems like there are two types of women’s skin during pregnancy: 1. glowing and radiant (think pregnant Beyoncé cerca de Grammy’s 2017) -OR- 2. hormonal breakouts with brown spots. I was the latter. I had acne and chloasma on my face, chest, and back. Chloasma is caused from your body making extra melanin while pregnant and causes brown patches of pigmentation on your face. I never felt that ‘pregnancy glow’ that some of those pregnant unicorns had. I even thought I was having a girl because I kept hearing “female babies suck the beauty out of you.” I was wrong both times and had boys. With pregnancy hormones against me, I was also limited on what I could use cosmetically. I was told no botox, retinol, or peels and some of my makeup even freaked me out, so I switched to ‘cleaner’ products.
The good news is that I gave birth to beautiful, healthy baby boys, so if my skin has to suffer for that, I’ll take it. However, I’ve always struggled with finding a good skin regimen that worked for me. I was contacted by Saranghae to try their skin care products for a review. A few weeks after giving birth to my baby boy, I used their 5 step skin care system for over a month and I can finally and honestly say I love my skin. This review is my honest opinion.

Saranghae’s 5 Step Anti-Aging System
Nourishing & Moisturizing Oil + Foam Cleanser
It is formulated with truffle extract and gold. Yes, gold. Not sure what gold does to help with anti-aging but what I do know is that I love this cleanser. You first apply this cleanser on to your dry face, rub it all around, and then add water. Loved that I didn’t have to get my face wet initially and would get foamy once you added water. This formula combines the deep pore cleansing power of an oil cleanser with the effective makeup removal of a foam cleanser. I used this first thing in the morning and before bed at night. It took off all of my makeup and left my skin feeling smooth and moisturized.
Deep Radiance Essence + Serum
This serum reminds me of my vitamin C that I previously used daily. This serum delivers amino acids, antioxidants, amino acids, and vitamins directly to your living cells. The ingredients result in skin that heals and regenerates. I used this after I cleansed my face and it would leave my skin with a dewy, glow that I loved!
Firm & Lift Cellular Regeneration Cream
This cream’s formula diminishes age spots, decreases redness, and reduces signs of aging. I didn’t notice a huge difference in helping with my wrinkles but I did notice less brown spots. I used this after the serum and my skin continued to glow.
Focus Renewal Eye Cream
I loved this cream and used it twice a day. I have really bad bags under my eyes. Being pregnant and now caring for a newborn and toddler, I don’t get much sleep. This eye cream has helped with my dark circles under my eyes. Now if I could just get my newborn to sleep through the night…
Elemental Essence Mask (6 mask sheets)
These masks help with reducing existing pigmentation and are based on need. I used these masks once a week for 15 minutes and I loved how it made my skin look and feel. These masks come with a lot of liquid, so I would use the extra on my neck and face.
Looking in the Mirror
I was told that most of the time that the developed pigmentations, spots, and acne that occurred during pregnancy can clear up on their own after baby is born, so this could’ve also helped with my skin’s appearance. I have noticed less spots and my skin looks bright and dewy, which is something I haven’t been able to achieve in my past skin care products. Overall, I am very pleased with Saranghae’s 5 step skin system and would highly recommend. I think I have finally found a solid skin care regimen because I can finally look in the mirror and say that I love my skin! Saranghae, SARANGHAE!
